NSMS is a non-profit organization chartered by The New York State Board of Regents, is recognized by the Three Village School District, and is affiliated with The American Montessori Society. |
Located in the quaint and historic village of Old Stony Brook in eastern Long Island, the North Shore Montessori School offers the finest enriched learning experience for preschool and primary children. The school was founded in 1970 by a group of parents who shared the vision of providing the best education possible for their children. For over 29 years, this organization has remained the strong Montessori parent cooperative which was envisioned by its founders. | |

CHILDREN'S HOUSE - 5 days (8:45 - 11:50 a.m.)
The Children's House is at the heart of the Montessori program. It provides preparation for grade school at both the Preschool and Kindergarten levels.

AM BUILDING BLOCKS' PROGRAM - Mon/Wed/Fri (8:45 - 11:50 a.m.)
Our Building Blocks' program is designed for children who will be three years of age by December 31, 2008, and who are potty trained. See "Programs for further information.

AM BUILDING BLOCKS - Tue & Thu (8:45 - 11:50 a.m.)

PM BUILDING BLOCKS - Mon/Wed/Fri (12:30 - 3:15 p.m.)

TODDLER PROGRAM - 2, 3 or 5 days (9 - 11:30 a.m.)
Our Stepping Stones' program is designed for children who will be two years of age of December 31, 2008. The child does not need to be potty trained. See "Programs for further information.

NSMS PARENTS! PLEASE REGISTER
If you have a child at the school, please make sure you register with this site. After registration is approved, you will have access to private site content, including an on-line calendar, file downloads and real-time announcements.
